Nastassja Kinski was born in West Berlin Germany in 1961. She is the daughter of actor Klaus Kinski and her mother is Brigette Kinski.
Nastassja was estranged from her father for the majority of her life and had a very difficult time with him. She began acting at the tender age of 13 in the director Wim Wenders "Wrong Move" where she played a mute juggler. She received the German Outstanding achievement Award for her portrayal of Mignon.
From the beginning of her acting career she supported both herself and her mother financially.
With the help of Roman Polanski she studied acting in New York under Lee Strasberg, she then starred in Polanski's "Tess" from which she won the Golden Globe.
Through her movies and interviews it is easy to distinguish why she is a source of fascination. In her work and through her words we catch a glimpse of a truly remarkable human being. As a young woman she held an insight and wisdom that transcended her years. She is exceptionally intelligent, perceptive and alluring.
